Tim Moyer Home Concert at The Dickerson House!

Hi all! First want to say thank you to all who joined us for our backyard concert with Tim Moyer. What a beautiful - full-mooned night it was (and yes, it was the "space" moon and nothing else - thank goodness!) We were able to raise some money for Tim and truly the night was beautiful. Little candles floating in the pool. Tim Moyer playing in the bathroom (I recorded him on our toilette paper roll). Tiki's burning in the background and a green spotlight on Tim and Susan as they entertained us with GREAT music. What a wonderful evening. Randy Weaver won the 50/50 drawing we did at intermission and gave Susan his ticket (Very Nice!) The night started out with me stressing that no one was going to show up, but in true California style, people showed up - - just a little late. (And it was partly my fault. Tim wanted to start playing at 7:00 and I put that as a "show up time" for guests - - guess I'm just not an invitation person! - - Brooke better remember this!) Anyway, I think most of you got the aol album I created. So won't post more pictures. All in all - a great evening! I'm posting one more tonight - -on a different subject.

Guess we like our dog a bit!

Well, this picture is a little strange, because the ONE person who HAS NOT bonded with Oz is (daughter) Michelle - - - says he looks way too much like a poodle. (She was raised with two Golden Retrievers). So I had to post this picture to show that (even though she won't admit) LOVES THE OZ DOG TOO.

Brook and Matt - -Next wedding - - Save October 13th!

Tim Moyer Home Concert at The Dickerson House!

Tim will be performing at our home next Saturday, April 28th at 7:00. We are hosting a home concert in order to help Tim raise funds to tour in the Netherlands and Ireland. Tim has been gracious enough to play for mom's funeral (on very short notice), Michelle's wedding & for Steve's 50th birthday bash (also in our backyard). We will be charging $10.00 at the door, and proceeds will go to Tim. (Trust me . . the best $10.00 you will ever spend). Tim has received awards for his songwriting and vocals from "Inland Empire Music Awards" (Best Male Artist), "Orange County Music Awards" (Best Male Performer), and "Just Plain Folks" (Folk Album of the Year). Anyone reading this who lives in our area is invited. (But, please let us know if you're coming - - we have to know how many for seating). We are asking that you bring any refreshments with you. We will have ice & coolers. We're really looking forward to sharing Tim's music with our family and friends. It will be a wonderful night under the stars with GREAT entertainment!! The wedding of Jennie & Casey

I've posted many pictures from this wedding. Wow - what a great time it was. High school alumni showed up, family, - - - everyone. We had such a good time. Steve and I got in quite late on Friday night (you know, we did the whole work thing.) But we arrived Friday evening in time to go to a CHICAGO bar called "Freddie's". We had such a blast. Little by little old high school friends and family started showing up. What a great time we had. The next morning we relaxed in Palm Desert with a beautiful pool and a refridge full of beers. Tom and Jim joined us later. We sat and had a "chit-chat" for about an hour before we all had to get ready for the "BIG EVENT" - - We all showed up spiffy (and I will say we clean up good!) Then the evening began. Beautiful wedding ceremony - followed by cocktail hour - followed by GREAT music (ear-picked by Casey) and for Sherman and others that "know" - - they even played "Strokin'" by Clarence Carter. Casey's such a sport - - did it just for Stevie boy. The evening was great. My hats off to Sandy & Taffy who I'm sure have been stressed through this whole thing. . . . . (been there done that). Anyway - - These are just a few pics from the occasion. We had a blast! Thanks to all who planned, and wishing Casey & Jennie a good Honeymoon. That's it for now. Take care all. Love and Miss all our dear Family & Friends from far away. Until next time . . . . .

Daniel (Sandy's youngest son - my "sweet" nephew) was looking quite hunkie! - - - What a sweetheart! Love him!

Teri & Steve during cocktail hour after ceremony and before reception. It was a BEAUTIFUL PLACE!

DING DONG THE BELLS ARE GONNA CHIME

Okay - -name that musical? - - - Answer: My Fair Lady

Anyway - - on that subject, we're all gearing up for Casey and Jennie's wedding this weekend. Very excited for them both - - - and this time I can ENJOY the wedding! (tee-hee). We're looking forward to the whole Nelson gang together. I'll be posting pictures, I'm sure!

For those who have been asking, Steve has his test on April 20th - - please include him in your prayers. We hope everything will be just fine.

Work is going good, we seem to stay busy all the time now. We're hoping to hire an accountant soon so Steve can stop his triple duties and get home at a decent time for a change. I, too, have been extremely busy with a "jackpot" of a print job that we landed. (It's almost my full-time job - - for one client!)

Matt, Brooke, Michelle, Brian and "crew" are all doing well. We had the kids, grandkids, and family over for Easter and what a great time. Jamie, Jim (Baumann - -my sis, her husband & 2 dogs), Sandy, Tom & Daniel (My other sis, husband and son) Michelle, Brian, Ethan, Aubrey & Brookyn -- and Matt and Brooke were present. We did an Easter Egg hunt, colored eggs and had good food (the food was the only thing non-traditional - - tri-tip & chicken on the grill! - - No turkey or ham!)

Hope your Easter was good. CONGRATS TO CASEY & JENNIE - - "I'm gettin' married in the mornin' - ding dong the bells are gonna chime . . . . " To my FAIR nephew and neice to be! (Aren't you happy this is on the computer - - then you don't have to hear me sing! :)

Love to all - -

Easter Sunday

Hi All - - Yes another "blog" by Teri. Guess my brother Eric knew this was good for me, huh?

Anyway - - ends up I'm having Easter at my house. Kind of started our immediate family - - then I talked my older sis (Jamie) and her husband (Jim) into coming over - - and now(with my great sales abilities) Sandy, Tom & Daniel will join us. So, we're figuring about 14 people and really looking forward to it. I haven't seen my older sisters Sandy or Jamie for awhile - - we've just been so busy. (haha - - for those that didn't catch it - - Sandy is really my younger sister, but who would know??) KIDDING SANDY! Just kidding!

My Dad is in AZ visiting Eric (my elder brother) - - LIE AGAIN - - he's my "baby" brother. . . . with the cutest kids in the world! We'll miss Dad for Easter, but sure Eric is taking good care of him. I'm sure Dad's enjoying the grandkids (Eric truly has the cutest kids in the world, and I"m not even being a bias Aunt - - check out link on the main site!) It's called "The Nelson Cronicles"

We, as a company, are still trying to recover from the "STEALING ACCOUNTANT" - - but doing very well. Steve is working extremely long hours (which, I personally worry about) to try to get stuff "back to normal". For those that don't know - we hired a woman who has been stealing from our company for about 7 months. We finally caught on and she was taken out of our offices in handcuffs! (yeah - - we got the bandit! :) Hopefully she will be locked up for years.

I want to wish everyone a very happy and blessed Easter. I will visit Mom's grave and talk to her as if she was there next to me. (as I always do) Somehow, I think on this religious holiday, Mom is looking down on all of us. (As is My "other mom" - Pat) Wow - - I sit and think back about what great influences I have had in my life and I'm so very grateful. To have a mother like I had is almost like the "perfect life" - - then I marry a man with an equally wonderful Mom. (and mine too) - - Who could ask for more than that. Okay, wonderful children and I'm blessed with two of them too.

So, no matter how life seems to throw curves - - I think life also throws blessings. I'm blessed for the Moms that have been so good to me, I'm blessed for a hard working father who (underneath all the "hard stuff" - - really cares about everyone in his family) I'm blessed for 2 sisters and a brother, and two wonderful children who "do me proud" everyday. So really . . . Life is good.

Happy Easter to All. Hopefully you can all think about how you've been blessed. (Yes, I'm a positive thinker) Please enjoy your families and remember what the day is all about.

Love, Teri

BUD'S FOREVER

Long time fellow workers and friends from Steve's Caterpillar days - - they still remain in contact and good friends. It was a great visit for all.

Oz relaxing too!

Ozzie enjoyed the company too. (I think MUCH more than they enjoyed him - haha) He was relaxin' in the sun too.

more relaxin' (love it!)

Katelyn Rose!

Katelyn Relaxing by the pool.

Jerry, Teri, Katelyn & Oz by the pool

Here's a picture of us hanging by the pool - - very relaxing!

Our Company! Jerry & Katelyn

Jerry & Katelyn were here to visit. We took a day by the beach (Laguna & Balboa Island) and a day by the pool in true California Style. Jerry & Katelyn took off for Seaworld one day, while Steve and I stayed home with Randy & Diane who were gracious enough to help us with our lighting for the upcoming Tim Moyer Home Concert. Saturday night found Steve, Teri, Randy, Diane, Jerry & Katelyn at our favorite restaurant "Villa Amalfi" eating Italian. Okay, Anchos is right up there too! (That was Friday night with Michelle, Brian, Steve, Teri, Jerry & Katelyn). Matt & Dustin (Mark Robert's son-in-law/next door neighbor) stopped by on Friday night also. As I always do, I stayed up late with the "youngsters" to catch up with Matt's life and just talk with Dustin.
We're looking so forward to Casey & Jennie's wedding in two weeks. It will be so nice to be an "attendee" instead of a planner. . . .although - another one to come (Matt & Brooke). More pictures to post, so I will keep this short. (Surprised?? - I am!) Steve finally looked at this blog for the first time a couple of days ago. Someday I will show him how to post and you might even hear from HIM! :) I want to wish everyone a very Happy Easter. Guess our kids, one daughter-in-law to be, one son-in-law, 3 grandchildren will be coming to our house. Now I just have to figure out if McDonald's is open! (KIDDING!) Hopefully we can all visit my mom's gravesite. Wow - I miss her more and more everyday. But her spirit is alive with Michelle going to get her masters degree, Matt working so very hard at his job, and Dad even going to plays. As the song goes, "The Family Tree will always grow". But she will always be missed along with Mrs. Dickerson (my 2nd mom). Getting too serious, so will close. (It must be the holidays that we sit and reflect on years passed)
GOOD LUCK to Jennie & Casey - - GREAT TO SEE YOU to Jerry & Katelyn! We love and miss all that take the time to read this - if you don't - - hummm? You can read what you want into that! (KIDDING AGAIN!) We really love and miss you all. Until next post. (More pictures of the Jerry/Katelyn visit on this blog).
