The Oz & Herbal Garden - read lower!

Hi - -

Although the fires have been devastating in our area - I think it's time for happier news. I am growing an indoor Herbal Garden and it's growing like a weed. We get excited every night to see how it's doing and I swear, you can almost see it growing.

Then there's our beautiful Oz-dog. Wow, he's grown up to be quite the companion. Very gentle, sweet and something we didn't experience with our loving Golden Retrievers - - HE IS SMART!!! Now, I'm not putting down Goldens, because I have been a fan of them for years for anyone with young children and anyone who wants a very good dog - - but somehow (with Oz) we got a Golden with personality, spunk, and a little (not much) more aggression than a Golden. We kind of like that at our stage of life.

Anyway - here's the pictures. (above) - - Fire update: EVERYTHING MUCH BETTER TONIGHT (or so I thought, until I went out in back and saw smoke and smelled it BADLY for the first time) - - Casey has reported that they lit back-fires so the fires go up the canyons from Orange County and then the weather would take care of the rest- - but, I (first hand) can tell you they're headin' into Corona. But, this fire would have to burn through alot of expensive houses before it ever got to ours, therefore, I think we're safe.

Okay, almost as bad as "texting" while you drive, I took these pictures while driving on the freeway home tonight. For those whom (I'm sure) have heard it on the news - - CALIFORNIA IS ON FIRE. Here are some pics of my drive home

I-15 closed up the Mtn. Matt had to get a hotel room tonight because he had no way to make it home from Hesperia (where he works) 15 closed and the back way is up by Arrowhead - - CLOSED BIG TIME. So he's at a Holiday Inn tonight. Here's the sign as I drove home: "I-15 CLOSED AT SIERRA AVENUE" (heading North)

More Wedding pictures coming in! :)

Hi All - - geez - - I can finally write something. Alot of pictures! I put some of my few favorites on this website. Wow - it was a tear-jerkie night for me. Because Brooke was such a good planner, all I could think of all night was my baby boy getting married, therefore, I was a little teary-eyed throughout the evening. It was a beautiful wedding, a fun place and all in all a great success. Matt and Brooke seem so very happy. Due to lack of funds, they decided to put off an official Honeymoon, and have been hanging out around California (- - geez - nothing to do here - right?) WRONG! They've been to great restaurants, beach, disneyland, etc. So, they really are enjoying time alone together. Thank you to all who came to the wedding, as we know it was a big expense, thank you to all of those who had us in your thoughts and prayers, mainly, thanks to our wonderful family & friends who we treasure and think about on a daily basis.

"Messy Marvin's" - - Steve (I believe) as well as Michelle started this. When Matt fed the cake so nice and neat, they started chanting "boring, boring, boring" - - Sorry Brooke!
