Matt & Brooke's Baby Shower

Brooke and Matt had their coed baby shower at our house on Saturday. It was great fun with great company. Thanks to all who attended. Although we thought we might get rained on, the day turned out to be great. Thanks especially to Lisa who put on the shower and had wonderful decorations and to Paul Montgomery for purchasing all the food. Matt & Brooke received some wonderful gifts and at least got a head start to the costly life of parenting! (Yikes, it's only just begun!) Steve and I also received a wonderul "Grandparent's gift" from Alena and Mike - a basket with a bedtime book, diapers, sheets, baby blanket, etc. What a thoughtful gift. Lisa got me cute little picture in a frame that says, "What happen's at Grandma's stays at Grandma's" How cute. And Sandy (keeping with my Halloween decorations) gave me the cutest little skeleton soaps. So, heck, we received unexpected gifts too. Won't be long now until I'm singing with a baby in my arms. . . .I've just got to get get myself a rocker. WE CAN'T WAIT! Thanks again to all who attended. . it was quite fun watching Matt open the gifts and try to figure out what he was opening. (thought teething rings were rattles, etc.) - - added to the entertainment!
