Well, it was May 7th, 1977 when Steve and I were reciting our vows. Eric (my baby brother) was our little ring bearer, Stephanie and Karen our little flower girls. (Geri made the little dresses and they were darling - - much cuter than my "mellow yellow" bridesmaid dresses - -tee hee - hey - it was the 70's!) Monica (I believe it was you) dropped her bottle as Geri was trying to help the nervous bride (me) with last minute details. It ended up splattering up my dress - - 5 seconds before I walked down the aisle. As I walked down towards my husband to be . . . I remember thinking he looked a bit pale. Well, by the time I got up to the alter - - I saw his legs shaking. Geez - - could it really be that bad??
Well, 30 years later . . we are off on our "2nd honeymoon" to Hawaii. (I must say . . .this is much better than the "CLOCK TOWER INN LOCATED IN ROCKFORD ILLINOIS" - - so some things do get better with age! (next paragraph a little mushy - this is your warning!)
I will say that I could not have married a more caring, loving, sharing individual. Although our engagement was short - - I think I saw these characteristics in Steve from the first day I met him. He is my best friend . . he is my "ventee" (sorry - sometimes I have to vent), he is my support, my comedian, my organizer, my lover, my life. Most importantly, he is my husband - whom I love so very much. Guess, although the wedding day was a little rocky and stupid things happened that day- - we both took our vows seriously. It's been so very easy - - especially when you know you married the perfect guy! (hummm - I sure hope he feels this way!)
To all those married couples out there - - I hope you have the "love of your life" too. It makes life so much easier!
Anyway - we're headed off to Hawaii on Saturday for a romantic - Steve and Teri only - get away. Should be great fun and VERY ROMANTIC.
Aloha! - - I'll be in touch when we get home.

Congrats.
Heather and I always get a pang when we hear about Hawaii. We had such a great time there and have no idea when we will be able to get back...alone!
Just a note to let you know that I do feel the same, even though you don't think so at times! There have been a few bumps in the road, but nothing we couldn't handle. And don't worry...I'll feed you in Hawaii!!
