A beautiful prick

Steve and I decided to transplant our cactus plants and put them in the ground, instead of in the pots they were in. With the help of Brian & Matt, mission accomplished!! These things started out sooo small, and little by little as we put them in bigger containers they grew and grew and grew. Well, after about 2 days of being in the ground, we noticed that one of them started getting a flower on it. It was almost like the cactus saying, "Thank you for my freedom". Well, two days later we were overwhelmed when we saw the flowers on one of them. We had to take pictures, because the flowers typically only last for a day or two. Anyway, here's some pics. (As you can see from the pictures - the bees love these big flowers!!)

Unbelievable - huh?
